Altogether

From the end of February until the middle of March I had again two weeks of holiday. All my friends booked a trip together for around a week, but because it is my birthday on the 11th of March and my boyfriend and I just broke up, I preferred to go home, to my family and friends from the Netherlands. I didn’t feel very good for a long time and maybe that is also why I haven’t written for a while. I am sorry for that.

When I came back home from home, The Netherlands to England, three of my best friends were in the apartment to surprise me for my birthday with cake, presents and one friend of mine, Daniel, even made a drawing of me. I did my best not to cry. They made my day and I am still so grateful that I have met them. We went out together much more, we even went to Brighton twice. We took the bus around 10 to Brighton and the train 5 in the morning back to Eastbourne. It was tough, but those are the nights you will never forget, although I think that some of my friends did forget them…

Sometimes, actually, very often, people ask me how it is here in England. To be honest, I find it difficult to explain, to answer the question. Of course, the first I always say is; “amazing”, but further it is difficult. People don’t experience it like you/I do, just because they aren’t there. The bond we have all together is so intense and there is so much love going around between the girls, the boys and the boys and girls, everyone is friends with each other. The reason why the cohesion is so huge I think is because we are all here with one dream and one goal. Everything wants the same. We are all just sharing our dreams and thoughts with each other and they just fit. Travel around the world, learning new languages and knowing more cultures, that is what we all want. I cannot imagine leaving this place…
